Registered Clinical and Counselling Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario
My research interests have been focused on the intersection of diversity factors such as ethnic identity, bicultural stress, acculturation stress with disordered eating behaviour and body image. My previous research interests examined the role of gender, race, and perfectionism on disordered eating behaviour and body image difficulties.
Over the past ten years I have held clinical positions in various hospitals, universities and private practices including Ryerson University, Lakewood Psychology, Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences, Markham Stouffville Hospital and York University.
I am committed to ongoing advanced trainings and to giving back to the community. I have recently completed advanced training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and am now involved in training other front line clinicians. I also act as an advisory board member for local community clinics and am actively involved in speaking engagements.
