She has been providing counselling and psychotherapy services for 16 years. She has specialized interests in supporting second generation children of immigrants navigate conflict related to race, ethnicity, religion, sexual identity, and cultural value conflicts

Dr. Buttu is integrative in her practice. She integrates interventions from Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and somatic-based therapies (e.g., sensorimotor psychotherapy) when working with clients.

Dr. Buttu worked from this location for 10 years, prior to transitioning her practice to a virtual practice during the COVID-19 pandemic. She is currently offering virtual services to clients across Ontario with intent to offer in-person services in Bowmanville, Ontario in the near future.
